Bloggers Uncensored: with My Small Travel Guide
Welcome to this weeks Bloggers Uncensored! If this is your first time reading a BU interview, this is my longest running blog series, and definitely my favourite. This series is a perfect opportunity to read your favourite bloggers' honest and uncensored opinions on real life topics, and to discover new bloggers to follow! This weeks blogger is My Small Travel Guide.
Tell us a little about yourself.
Hey, people! Nice to meet you! My name is Sandra Ans and I am a travel blogger! I am trying to show people that it's possible to travel without quitting their jobs or taking credits. And even more - I am showing how to travel cheaper, better and smarter! Travelling and writing are my 2 hobbies. And that's how my blog "MY SMALL TRAVEL GUIDE" born.
Why do you write?
I write because I want to help people. Writing for me is also the best way how to express my emotions and thoughts, it's just something that I love to do.
Why did you start blogging?
Before I started my blog a lot of my friends was asking me how I can connect my job and daily life with travelling... and then I understand that there a lot of people who need real help with those questions! And it feels so good to get thankful messages. It means that I did good work and helped someone!
What do you love about the blogging world/community?
I love feeling like being in a new family where everyone is helping you with advice, smile and good word.
What do you hate about the blogging world/community?
I hate people who are doing blogging only to get money! I think blogging is something more than only money! Of course, you can earn money, but it can't be your task number 1!
In your opinion, who are the most underrated bloggers?
I don't think that there are underrated bloggers. For every niche is a certain number of people who will follow this niche. And with this, I want to say that there are more people who will follow "travel blogs" than "how to train my rat" blogs. But it doesn't mean that "how to train my rat" blogs are underrated! It all depends on your work with your blog.
What are some hard truths you have learnt about life?
That everything happens how it needs to happen. Very often we can't control or affect some situations and we need to accept them. And sometimes accepting is the hardest part of life.
What does freedom mean to you?
Freedom for me is a way how I think, speak, eat, walk and how I live. Freedom for me means that I can control my life self and it's not mattering if I am in a relationship or not. If the relationship is healthy the other person will never let you feel like you're in a prison! He or she will respect your free time, thinking, hobbies, friends and everything. He or she will let you live free and grow yourself as a personality.
What are your thoughts on mental health and how it's portrayed in today's society?
It's portrayed as a normal, daily thing...like everyone can have it and it's nothing special. But it's not like that! There are so many mental illnesses and if people will not talk about them there will be more and more depressions and suicides. People need to help each other, not only to say nice words!
What advice would you give to someone who is fighting a mental illness?
Never stop fighting! And remember - you are stronger than you think!
What advice would you give to someone who is being bullied or harassed?
You are a person! You are a personality!! Don't let someone bully or harass you! You are the most beautiful person in the world! Why? Because you are not a copy! Don't let your beautiful personality die because of ugly people.
If you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be?
Let's end this with some fun 'This or That' questions:
Love or money?
Work hard or play hard?
Cups in the cupboard: right side up or upside down?
Right side up.
Chocolate or sex?
Plan everything or wing it?
Happiness or money?
. . .
