Bloggers Uncensored: with Stralthy
Welcome to this weeks Bloggers Uncensored! If this is your first time reading a BU interview, this is my longest running blog series, and definitely my favourite. This series is a perfect opportunity to read your favourite bloggers' honest and uncensored opinions on real life topics, and to discover new bloggers to follow! This weeks blogger is Stralthy.
Tell us a little about yourself.
Hey there everyone! My name is Anna and I am a dental student who writes about health, food, beauty and lifestyle on her blog. I am the kind of person who enjoys staying at home in some cozy clothes drinking coffee or wine haha!
Why do you write?
My main reason I write is to help others with my recipes and my reviews. I know that sometimes it's hard to find the right recipe or the hones review so I always try to make sure I deliver the best content for my readers.
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging because at first I really wanted to share my recipes with the world. Later, I've realised that I love to write about other things too so I expand my horizons a lot since then. However, cooking remained my first love and since then I even wrote a small recipe ebook.
What do you love about the blogging world/community?
I love the fact that you can make a lot of friends and get to know a lot of people that share the same interests that you do. Even though this world has its bad points it definitely has a lot of amazing things too.
What do you hate about the blogging world/community?
I hate the fact that a lot of companies are not paying enough attention to small bloggers. It is really hard to get collaborations if you are at the beginning because they all ask for a lot of unachievable things when you are first starting out.
What are some hard truths you have learnt about life?
That you don't have to compare your success to others and that not everyone is meant to stay in your life and especially that not everyone is your friend. I am a pretty shy person so I find it hard to make new friends but I feel like the ones that take their time to know me are really meant to be in my life. Also, a great piece of advice someone I loved so much and lost gave me - always put yourself first!
What advice would you give to someone who is fighting a mental illness?
First of all, don't be ashamed of it. I know that a lot of people aren't talking about this because they are ashamed but you don't have to be! Everyone is struggling with their own problems whether they want to admit it or not so don't be afraid to ask for help. Some people might not understand things like depression because they haven't experienced it, so don't cut them out of your life for not being supportive. Make them understand and if they still don't, do whatever you have to do to improve your life.
What advice would you give to someone who is being bullied or harassed?
Definitely seek for help or talk with your parents about it. I've read about so many situations that got bad later so you are the only one who can take action when it comes to this kind of thing.
If you could rid the world of one thing, what would it be?
I would love to get rid of people who harm other people.
Let's end this with some fun 'This or That' questions:
Love or money?
Work hard or play hard?
Cups in the cupboard: right side up or upside down?
Right side up.
Chocolate or sex?
Plan everything or wing it?
Happiness or money?
Both I guess.
. . .
