The Highs And Lows Of 2019

A couple days ago I got tagged in a post called The Highs and Lows of 2019 by Lucy from Sunset Desires. I really enjoyed reading it so I thought I'd give it a whirl myself. You know how much I love these blogger tags! Before we jump in though, I just want to also shoutout the creator of this tag, Kate from the blog, Woman On Thin Ice.

THE HIGHS AND LOWS OF 2019 TAG

THE RULES

1. Thank the person who nominated you and link back to their blog and the founder of the tag.

2. Answer the questions.

3. Tag to take part 5 or more bloggers asking them to take part and let them know on social media ideally tagging the founder so she can read all the lovely posts.

4. Post the questions without your answers at the bottom of your post so that they are easy to copy and paste for the people you tag.

THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

1. What was your happiest event?

There isn't one exceptionally happy event that I can think of, but the majority of my happy moments last year were spent with my boyfriend, friends and family.

2. What was the saddest thing to happen?

One of the most important people in my life was sectioned due to a mental breakdown. That was pretty tough on all of us as we're such a close family. I'm happy to say that she is doing incredible and has just started back at work. I'm extremely proud of her.

3. What was the most unlikely thing to happen that you actually went ahead and did?

I'd say it was creating a professional site from scratch, but I wouldn't call it unlikely. I tend to follow through with things when I put my mind to it.

4. Who let you down?

Quite a few people let me down emotionally, without even realising it.

5. Who supported you?

I've received unconditional support from my Dad, my angel Nan, my Uncle John, my love, my best friends and the incredible blogging community.

6. Tell us what you learned.

A couple things:

- I'll never achieve my goals and live my dreams if I only ever grind on the days I feel good.

- People will always underestimate me and try to belittle me, but that has nothing to do with me. They're simply one of four things; a narcissist, a pretentious asshole, a condescending jerk, or has a serious superiority complex.

7. Tell us what made you laugh.

My boyfriends bad jokes, my great ones... In fact, thinking about it now, I didn't realise just how much I laughed last year.

8. Tell us the things that made you cry.

HA! What didn't make me cry. I'm quite the emotional wreck.

9. Tell us the things that made you proud of yourself.

Often I've felt so down that simply getting through the day makes me proud of myself. But the thing I am most proud of is this site. It's my creation, it's my life, it's my heart. I built it, I'm still building it - it's my proudest accomplishment.

10. Tell us the challenges you overcome.

Every day, every situation, brings new and existing challenges. Overcoming them is all about treating them as opportunities. An opportunity to grow, to be stronger, to be kinder, to be smarter, to love.

11. Tell us the things you would like to change about your life in 2020.

I answered this one pretty well in my first post of the decade - New Year, Same Me (with a little extra bad bitch energy)
